California to require insurance companies to insure fire risk areas

Starting in 2025, under new rules, insurance companies will be mandated by California to provide fire insurance. The new regulation will require companies to try to cover 85% of homes in designated fire-prone zip codes.



Some experts believe the insurance market will stabilize because the government will be a watchdog to stop price gouging.
